Great location on the harbour front. Outside seating when the weather is nice. Food generally very good, and would get 5 stars except that it's fairly expensive for a quick bar lunch. Atmosphere very good, and the staff are very nice. Recommended.

What a fantastic place! It's a combination of a small hotel, restaurant and bar. Location is great as it is overlooking the Harbour, which means fantastic views are guaranteed!. The building itself is historic, built in 1771. The restaurant specialises in fish, seafood, and steaks. In summer if the weather is nice food is served also outside. The bar has a good selection of keg beers and malt whiskies. Food is also served in the bar. Kids are welcome. Staff is friendly and you don't need to wait long for your food.
Great wee pub had an amazing meal here, freshly cooked and very tasty. Would highly recommend it. Reasonably priced.
Stonehaven harbour is such a nice place, also thanks to the bars, pubs and crowds. Been there a few times and enjoyed fish and chips, beer and hamburger in the Ship Inn Pub. Today we ventured to the Ship Inn restaurant and were lucky to find seats without reservation. However, to my disappointment the beef on the shared meat platter was off, and quite obviously smelled! The chef was not prepared to admit the rather obvious issue and claimed the meat which that was smelling from the plate is a good quality beef. A very disappointing experience.
